Chipola College awarded $40,000 grant from the Community Foundation of Sarasota County to fund scholarships

MARIANNA, FL—Funding for scholarships at Chipola College, provided by the Edward K. Roberts Community College Fund of the Community Foundation of Sarasota County.


The Edward K. Roberts Endowment Scholarship was established at Chipola College for the Fall 2024 and Spring 2025 semester. The scholarship fund was created with a $40,000 donation from the Community Foundation of Sarasota County with funds from the estate of the late Edward K. Roberts.


Multiple partial tuition and/or books/educational expenses scholarships, preference will be given to students that are parents of minor children and can be either married or single parents and applicant must outline this information in the application letter, and preference given to part-time students who may not qualify for other financial aid, applicants must maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA each semester at Chipola and must have a minimum 2.0 high school GPA, and must follow standard college requirements.
