Achieving Success in Business Succession Planning: Takeaways from January's Distinguished Speakers Series

Thank you to everyone who attended the January Distinguished Speakers Series programs, and a special thanks to our speaker, Jere Doyle. The event had a great turnout, with 100+ attendees learning about the process of business succession planning. Programs were held at the Venice Chamber of Commerce and Michael’s on East. Business Succession Planning

Speaker Jere Doyle discussed the personal and tax aspects of transferring an interest in a closely held corporation. Attendees learned about the various parties involved in the transition of a closely held business, the four key steps to successful business succession planning, and the four types of buy-sell agreements. The presentation also covered the expectations vs realities that clients can experience with their closely held business, and how to manage common obstacles that may occur.
