Tia Cruz

Tia Cruz serves as a Staff Accountant at the Community Foundation of Sarasota County. In this role, she prepares and maintains financial records and reports, including processing and tracking the foundation's monetary gifts/donations, along with a variety of accounting tasks.

Before joining the Community Foundation, she gained experience in immigration law, estate planning, as well as personal and small business accounting. She also has more than eight years of experience in restaurant management and operations. Tia earned her bachelor's degree in business with a minor in marketing from Penn State University.

Hailing from a small town in Pennsylvania, Tia has called Florida home since 2019. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her friends and family, fishing, soaking up some sun at the beach, cooking, and watching Penn State and Pittsburgh Steelers football.
