Scott Henderson

Scott Henderson joined the Community Foundation of Sarasota County as Director, Insights in January 2024. In this role, Scott assists the foundation, nonprofit organizations, donors, and community partners in interpreting community data to help them make better-informed decisions. By sharing Community Indicators Dashboard data, stories and reports in ways that engage our community, we can identify insights together regarding community needs and opportunities. Those insights enable partners to take collaborative action to improve the quality of life in our communities in ways that are significant and sustainable.

Scott has been a nonprofit executive director and consultant for 24 years. Prior to his nonprofit career he owned his own business for ten years. He grew up in the Midwest and St. Andrews, Scotland, where his family lived for several years. Scott graduated from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas.

He enjoys most sports, especially golf, tennis, pickleball and baseball.
