Charitable Giving Options
We help create everlasting charitable impact through
innovative solutions.
To fulfill your clients’ philanthropic goals, the Community Foundation offers an array of fund types designed to match each donor's interests and values, while achieving maximum tax benefits:
Donor Advised Fund
Allows the donor to make tax-deductible contributions to a personal charitable fund. As our most flexible fund, the donor advises where to make grants to any 501(c)(3) public charity in the United States.
Curious how Donor Advised Funds work? Watch the below video by Betsy Pennewill, JD, General Counsel at the Community Foundation, to learn more.
Designated Fund
Provides perpetual support to one or more specific nonprofit organizations designated by the donor.
Field of Interest Fund
Allows the donor to support broad areas of interest, such as education, the arts, the environment, or youth services. Our Foundation evaluates and awards grants to nonprofits making the greatest impact in the targeted area.
Scholarship Fund
Helps deserving students of all ages pursue their academic goals; the fund can be established by companies, organizations, families, or individuals.
Unrestricted Fund
Offers the greatest flexibility in responding to the community’s changing needs and allows our Foundation to address issues as they emerge.
Future Fund
Creates legacy intentions defined in perpetuity with contributions being received from the Donor’s estate.
