Description, Funding, and Eligibility
Programmatic Grants support organizations and programs that provide access to education, health care, or basic human needs for people who face systemic barriers in our community.
An average grant award in this cycle is between $10,000 - $25,000, although support can vary depending on need and alignment with Community Foundation of Sarasota County priorities.
Funding Priorities
This grant program focuses on organizations that promote and implement goals toward economic stability and equity:
Priority is given to projects that remove barriers to health care, education, or human services to populations who face systemic barriers in our community.
Do you have a new program idea or initiative you would like the Community Foundation to know more about? Please click this link to fill out a brief form detailing your concept. Your Community Impact contact will follow up within two weeks to discuss.
In order to receive a grant through this program, organizations must also have:
- An IRS Letter of Determination that shows the organization is a 501(c)3 public charity
- At least one current program with local impact in one of the following counties: Sarasota, Manatee, Charlotte, or DeSoto
- An approved/current profile in The Giving Partner, a powerful, searchable online database with over 700 profiles of charitable organizations serving Sarasota, Manatee, Charlotte, and DeSoto counties.
