Michelle Croft

Michelle Croft serves as a Director of Community Impact at the Community Foundation. In this role, Michelle oversees the foundation's grantmaking and scholarship areas, working closely with grantees and nonprofits. Michelle helps shape grantmaking and scholarship initiatives to address community needs and creates frameworks to evaluate their impact.

Originally from Massachusetts, Michelle obtained a BA in Communications from Westfield State University. Michelle supported the Suncoast Disaster Recovery Fund as an independent consultant before joining the Foundation as a full-time staff member, bringing with her valuable nonprofit experience from her years in philanthropy at human service organizations. In her new role she is committed to collaborating with nonprofits to develop partnerships, assess needs and develop strategies that foster growth and change in our community.

Michelle has called Sarasota home for nearly 20 years. She and her husband Fred enjoy cooking together and traveling with their two teenage sons. Outside of work, Michelle spends her time exercising, painting, enjoying the beach and cheering from the sidelines in her role as a dedicated soccer mom.
